We are looking for Line Operators to join our Nestlé Confectionery factory at our York site to support the production department. These positions are on a Nestlé Flexible Worker basis. You will work with various teams and have the potential opportunity to work across all areas of the factory. Depending on performance, there is the potential to become a permanent role in the future with the world’s largest food and beverage business.
The makers of KitKat, Aero, Yorkie bars and Polo Mints are looking for help supporting the production team doing a variety of roles around the factory—working as part of a manufacturing team to create our confectionery products, monitoring quality, operating packing machines while adhering to the highest safety and food hygiene standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate machines and systems to achieve performance targets.
- Ensure the production process runs at optimum with high quality product.
- Maintain safe and efficient running of production lines, minimizing repairs and breakdowns.
- Adhere to high safety and quality standards to maintain a safe working environment.
- Apply a continuous improvement mindset and own the line when a Line Leader is not present.
- Be a positive role model, motivating colleagues and maintaining routines and standards.
- Support factory activities to achieve KPIs.
Qualifications
- Practical approach to work with a can‑do attitude.
- A strong team player with competent problem‑solving skills.
- Logical approach to duties, able to follow processes for safety, quality, cost and delivery compliance.
- Preferable experience in a manufacturing environment; on‑the‑job training will be provided if none.
