About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to join Newham’s Children in Care Team. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people in care, helping them achieve stability, permanence, and positive outcomes while working within a supportive and collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of children and young people who are looked after by the local authority.
• Develop and review care plans that promote safety, stability, and long-term wellbeing.
• Build positive relationships with children, young people, families, carers, and partner agencies.
• Undertake statutory visits, assessments, and reviews in line with legislative requirements.
• Prepare high-quality reports for Looked After Children Reviews, court proceedings, and other statutory meetings.
• Work collaboratively with foster carers, residential providers, education, health professionals, and other partner organisations.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and ensure all work is completed within statutory timescales.
