SEND/Inclusion Family Support Worker

Salary: H5:9 – H6:19 – depending on skills and experience (£27,254 – £32,061 + £729 FTE) (£22,152 – £25,957 Pro-Rata)

Term time only 35 hours per week (8.30 – 4.00 daily)

Contract: Permanent — Reporting to: Headteacher/Assistant Headteachers/ SENDCo

Start Date: September 2026

About the Role

We seek applications from those of the Catholic faith, all faiths and of no faith but who are supportive of our Christian values and ethos. This new role within our established SEND and Pastoral departments and systems will provide an excellent opportunity for the right applicant to shape the role in a way that best meets the needs of the students and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Be the main point of contact for many parents and carers of SEND students.
  • Build positive relationships with families and support effective communication between home and school.
  • Coordinate and maintain high-quality pupil profiles and SEND documentation.
  • Track and monitor interventions, ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
  • Support Annual Reviews and other SEND review processes.
  • Gather and record student voice and parental feedback.
  • Produce reports and information for leaders and external agencies.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and external professionals to improve outcomes for students.

Qualifications

Experience working within a SEND or Inclusion department in a school is desirable but not essential.

The ideal applicant will have experience working with children, young people or families and / or experience within a school, SEND, education, social care or family support setting.
