About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Social Worker to join Looked After Children Team in Wolverhampton. This is an excellent opportunity to work with children and young people in care, helping to provide stability, permanence, and positive outcomes throughout their care journey.

As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a key role in managing complex cases, supporting colleagues, and ensuring children receive high-quality, child-centered services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a complex caseload of Looked After Children, ensuring all statutory responsibilities are met.
• Develop, implement, and review care plans that promote permanence, stability, and positive outcomes.
• Build meaningful relationships with children, young people, families, foster carers, and partner agencies.
• Complete statutory visits, assessments, and reviews within required timescales.
• Prepare high-quality reports for reviews, court proceedings, and permanency planning where required.
• Work collaboratively with education, health, fostering services, and other professionals to meet the needs of children in care.
• Provide professional guidance and support to less experienced colleagues where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and timely case records in line with statutory and local authority requirements.
