An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finding Families Social Worker to join our team.
This rewarding role focuses on securing permanent, loving homes for children through adoption. You’ll work collaboratively with prospective adopters, adoptive families, local authorities, and partner agencies to achieve the best possible outcomes for children.

Key Responsibilities
As a Finding Families Social Worker, you will:
- Assess and prepare prospective adopters, ensuring they are equipped to meet the needs of adopted children.
- Complete comprehensive adoption assessments and present recommendations to adoption panels where appropriate.
- Assess adopters’ suitability to be matched with individual children, taking into account each child’s long-term needs.
- Develop and review adoption support plans for children, adopters, and adoptive families.
- Provide direct support and guidance to prospective adopters, adopters, children, and birth families.
- Produce high-quality assessments, reports, and court documentation where required.
- Participate in the duty system and respond promptly to referrals and enquiries.
- Apply restorative practice principles throughout your work.
- Work closely with colleagues across the Regional Adoption Agency and partner organisations to deliver a seamless adoption service.
- Maintain accurate case records and ensure all work is completed in line with statutory guidance and timescales.
