London | September Start | Full-Time | £30,000 – £35,000 | Salaried Teacher Training Opportunity

Are you a Maths or Science graduate ready to turn your degree into a career that changes lives?

Want to earn a competitive salary whilst training to become an outstanding secondary school teacher?

Could this be the opportunity that launches your teaching career without returning to full-time university?

A leading Multi‑Academy Trust with several high‑performing secondary schools across London is seeking exceptional Maths and Science graduates to join its prestigious Graduate Trainee Teacher Programme this September.

This is a fantastic opportunity for ambitious graduates who are passionate about their subject and want to train as qualified teachers whilst earning a full‑time salary. Rather than following the traditional route, you’ll gain real classroom experience from day one, supported by expert mentors and an outstanding teacher training programme that prepares you for a successful and rewarding career.

You’ll join a school community that believes in investing in talented graduates, providing structured coaching, regular professional development and a clear pathway towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Your Role

As a Graduate Trainee Teacher, you will:

  • Train to become an outstanding Maths or Science Teacher.
  • Deliver engaging lessons with increasing responsibility throughout the academic year.
  • Inspire students across Key Stages 3, 4 and, where appropriate, Key Stage 5.
  • Work alongside experienced teachers who will mentor and coach you.
  • Develop your skills in lesson planning, assessment and classroom management.
  • Support students through intervention programmes and enrichment activities.
  • Build the confidence and expertise required to achieve Qualified Teacher Status.

Why Join This Programme?

  • Competitive salary of £30,000–£35,000 whilst training.
  • Fully supported route towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Personalised mentoring from experienced teachers and senior leaders.
  • Outstanding CPD and leadership development opportunities.
  • Access to modern classrooms, specialist laboratories and excellent teaching resources.
  • Join a successful network of London secondary schools with excellent reputations.
  • Fast‑track career progression with opportunities to secure a permanent teaching role upon successful completion.
  • A collaborative environment where graduates are encouraged to flourish.

We’re Looking For

  • A 2:1 or First-Class degree in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering or another closely related STEM subject.
  • Excellent academic credentials and a genuine passion for your specialist subject.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confidence, resilience and the ambition to become an exceptional teacher.
  • A commitment to inspiring young people and raising academic achievement.

Whether you’re graduating this year or have already completed your degree, this is an outstanding opportunity to begin a career where you’ll inspire the next generation whilst receiving first‑class training and support every step of the way.
