Community Engagement Officer

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Community Engagement Officer to help bring the project to life. Working with local communities, partners, volunteers and contractors, you’ll lead the delivery of an inspiring programme of activities that encourages people of all ages to get involved with the park.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop volunteering opportunities that make a real difference.
  • Organise and promote events and community activities.
  • Organise and help to deliver educational, heritage, conservation and recreational activities.
  • Encourage more people to discover and enjoy Brinton Park.
  • Monitor and evaluate the project’s impact as part of the grant funding commitments.

Requirements

  • Experience working with local communities, partners, volunteers and contractors.
  • Strong initiative and enthusiasm to bring the project to life.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evening meetings and weekend work.
  • A suitable vehicle for travel to events and community activities.

Additional Details

  • Interview dates: 4 and 5 August 2026.
  • Part‑time, job share and secondments will be considered.
  • Fixed term until 31 December 2027.
