Job Overview
As a Public Protection and VISOR Case Administrator in the Justice and Immigration team, you will play a vital role in supporting the Public Protection Unit by managing sensitive information, coordinating with internal and external agencies, and ensuring safeguarding responsibilities are delivered effectively. Your work will contribute to the protection of children, vulnerable individuals, and the wider public.
Key Responsibilities
- Process child contact applications in line with the Public Protection Manual and liaise with relevant external agencies.
- Gather, collate and prepare sensitive information from prisoner records for appropriate internal and external sharing.
- Monitor telephone calls, incoming and outgoing mail, identifying and reporting intelligence where necessary.
- Ensure all monitoring activities comply with legislation, policies and authorised procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of monitoring activity and ensure information is stored securely.
- Complete checks for prisoners with restrictions before approved contacts are added.
- Support intelligence gathering activities alongside the Police Information Officer and Security teams.
- Assist with public protection processes and support key aspects of the parole process within the prison estate.
- Act with the highest levels of integrity, professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive information.

- Good analytical skills and the ability to monitor, review and audit information accurately.
