Responsibilities
- Provide ward cover and on‑call support as part of the registrar cohort at NRC.
- Deliver inpatient and outpatient clinic duties on City or QMC campuses.
- Contribute to the out‑of‑hours rota at NRC, covering long days and nights.
- Work under the clinical supervision of a rehabilitation medicine consultant to develop portfolio evidence and meet set objectives.
- Support trainees aiming for a Portfolio Pathway application by gaining necessary experience and competencies.
Qualifications
- Trust Grade doctor at ST3 or above level.
- Minimum four years of post‑graduate experience, preferably in rehabilitation medicine or a related specialty (neurology, geriatrics, major trauma, orthopaedics, stroke).
- Completed core medical training (or equivalent) and registered with the GMC.
- Previous UK experience is advantageous but not essential; a full shadowing period will be provided if required.
Posting Details
This post is initially for 6 months, with the possibility of extension upon mutual agreement. The position will become available in 2026.

The NRC is a 70‑bed standalone hospital under Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, focused on transforming rehabilitation care. It serves complex cases such as neurorehabilitation, major trauma recovery, and amputee rehabilitation, and is a national hub for multidisciplinary care, advanced training, and research.
