Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Clinical Physiology department at Leeds Teaching Hospitals for an organised and motivated Admin Coordinator to join our established Cardio‑Respiratory Diagnostics administration team. The role is primarily based at St James Hospital, with an expectation to provide cross‑site support to the Leeds General Infirmary when required.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate clinic appointments and manage schedules for Non‑Invasive Cardiology and Sleep services.
  • Provide secretarial support to the Clinical Physiology Department, managing day‑to‑day administration.
  • Communicate sensitively and effectively with patients, families, medical staff and multidisciplinary team members.
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times.
  • Support the wider team by collaborating with Admin Coordinators, Clerical Officers and the Patient Service Coordinator team.
  • Adapt to changing demands within the team and work flexibly as required.

Qualifications and Experience

The post requires:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including spreadsheets and databases.
  • Ability to prioritise, plan and organise own workload.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to the requirements of team members.
  • Initiative and the ability to act independently.
