About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Social Worker to join the Intake Team within Children’s Services in Hounslow. This is a key front‑line role, working at the point of contact to ensure timely decision‑making and appropriate support for children and families.

You will be part of a busy and supportive team responsible for screening, assessing, and progressing referrals to ensure children receive the right level of intervention at the right time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of approximately 25 children.
• Undertake timely screening, assessments, and decision‑making at the front door of services.
• Progress referrals appropriately in line with thresholds and safeguarding procedures.
• Work collaboratively with families, partner agencies, and internal teams to ensure effective outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date case records using the LCS system.
• Participate in duty weeks and support front‑line decision‑making.
• Ensure all work complies with statutory requirements and safeguarding standards.

Requirements:

• A recognised Social Work qualification and Social Work England registration.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals.
• Knowledge and experience of using LCS (Liquidlogic Children’s System).
