Job Overview
We are recruiting for a PDI Technician to join the workshop at Lookers Colchester Volvo. The role involves carrying out new and used vehicle prep and working on electric vehicles.

Employment type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary & Hours
Salary: £31,000 basic plus £5,880 bonus potential, uncapped.
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm, plus 1 in 3 Saturdays 8:30am – 12:30pm.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out vehicle health checks using the latest technology
- Conducting vehicle service in accordance with manufacturers guidelines and customer requests
- Warranty repairs as per the manufacturer’s guidelines and complete relevant write‑ups
- Taking the customer’s vehicle out on a road test to ensure all faults are rectified
- Completing all relevant paperwork to a high standard
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a minimum NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, motor industry experience (brand or non-brand), and a full valid UK driving licence. Candidates who have not yet qualified can be considered.
