Therapy Coordinator, 15 hpw (Term Time Only) (Bamburgh School)

Overview

One of the key areas we pride ourselves on at Bamburgh School is the commitment to providing support for our pupils in terms of physical, care, development and promoting independence.

We would like to offer the opportunity for a suitable candidate to take up the part time role of Therapy Coordinator. The role involves coordinating planning, delivery and monitoring of Moving and Handling across school.

Responsibilities

• Work under the supervision of a qualified Occupational Therapist and link to our OT and Physiotherapists.
• Support the assessment of children, lead on their follow-up and develop own interventions to support Moving and Handling.
• Oversee Moving and Handling equipment.
• Support other staff with training.
• Work with a Senior Manager in relation to funding of specialist equipment.

Qualifications and Conditions

• Suitable skills and attributes are required.
• Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) disclosure will be sought along with other relevant pre-employment checks.
• In line with guidance in Keeping Children Safe in Education, schools may carry out an online search as part of their due diligence on shortlisted candidates.
• We do not currently offer skilled worker visa sponsorship.
