The Role

The post holder will provide clerical and administrative support to Alcohol and Drug Recovery Services (ADRS), offering front‑line assistance to staff and services. Responsibilities include supporting clinics, managing prescriptions, handling calls, reception duties, financial tasks (e.g., issuing bus tickets), minute taking for ADRS MDT meetings, and supporting statutory processes. Admin support also provides front‑facing assistance to service users with drug and alcohol issues and back‑office support to social workers, nurses and managers to deliver priority and statutory services and achieve key performance targets.

Duration, Location, and Working Pattern

This is a permanent part‑time role of 18 hours per week, scheduled Monday & Tuesday 9am‑5pm, Wednesday 9am‑12:30pm. The post will be based within Rowan Business Park, 5 Ardlaw Street, Glasgow, G51 3RR, working with the ADRS Alcohol & Drugs Recovery Services. Flexibility to cover other bases within the South Sector is required. Salary is pro‑rated for part‑time hours.

Key Responsibilities

Front‑line administrative support to ADRS staff and services: prescription management, clinic support, call handling and reception duties. Financial tasks such as issuing bus tickets. Taking minutes for ADRS multi‑disciplinary team (MDT) meetings. Back‑office support to ensure statutory and priority services are delivered effectively, in accordance with all Board policies and procedures, including Health & Safety, Data Protection and Confidentiality.

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job

  • Standard Grade English
  • Good keyboard skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and use own initiative
  • Knowledge of office working practices
