Casual HGV Refuse Collection Driver / Loader to join a team of valued key workers and help make a positive difference to the environment we all live and work in.

Responsibilities

• Carry out refuse and recycling collections daily, with skills and knowledge of all machinery aspects of the job.
• Undertake all duties in a professional manner, deploying safe lifting and handling techniques appropriate to articles left for removal.
• Use in‑cab technology and mobile devices as directed.
• Complete relevant paperwork in real time.
• Carry out daily inspections and reporting for machinery and vehicles, before and after use.
• Ensure the cleanliness of machinery and vehicles.
• Maintain excellent customer and client relations, particularly with members of the public and other motor users.

Working Hours

7am to 3.30pm, Monday – Friday.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 driving licence (with no more than 6 points).
• Driver CPC.
• Willingness to help refuse loaders while on your rounds so the team can complete the route within the service level agreement.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self‑motivated.
• Willingness to undertake tasks.
• Clean drivers licence.
• Previous relevant experience desirable, but not essential.
