About the Role
Provide one‑to‑one support to a 26‑year‑old man with an acquired brain injury and quadriplegic cerebral palsy, living in an adapted home. The role involves supporting independence, well‑being, and participation in everyday life.
Responsibilities
- Personal care, mobility and hoisting
- Daily living tasks – meals, budgeting, household chores
- Social and leisure activities (community outings, video games, baking, zoo, cinema)
- Clinical care including PEG and suprapubic catheter (full training provided)
- Use of electronic communication aid (VOCA) and communication book
Qualifications & Experience
- Full UK driving licence (automatic vehicle) and aged 25 or older (vehicle insurance requirement)
- Willingness to drive a wheelchair‑accessible vehicle (training provided)
- Enhanced DBS check (paid for if required)
- Experience in care helpful but not essential – training and support will be provided

Important Information
Subject to safer recruitment checks including enhanced DBS. Genuine occupational requirement to hold a driving licence (Equality Act 2010 compliant). Smoking is not permitted during shifts due to health sensitivities.
