Equans is looking for a FM Scheduler to join our team at Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford on a permanent basis. This is a full‑time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, paid overtime and benefits package. This is an onsite role.

The role of the FM Scheduler is to schedule Planned Works within SLA deadlines, coordinate follow‑on works whilst assisting with other onsite deliverables. The post will report directly to the Senior Operations Manager. In doing so, you will ensure that the CAFM systems are fit for purpose, properly set-up and maintained and that the FM team will be trained to make best and appropriate use of the systems installed. The FM Scheduler will ensure that the required records are issued and returned for audit and compliance purposes and that the reporting process will prove collaborative and robust.

The role holder will be instrumental in ensuring PPMs, Follow‑on works and Reactive works are completed within contractual SLAs and the associated records are received within appropriate timescales. To reduce deductions they will be required to accurately monitor workflow and escalates any issues.

What will you deliver?

  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with all CAFM system users and other staff, in support of their reporting requirements
  • Ensure completion of PPM & Reactive Works activity within SLAs
  • Administer Shift roster and keep updated for Leave and absence
  • Monitor and provide labour analysis statistical data to SLT for workforce
  • Review PPM planners and advise of discrepancies
  • Provide ad hoc data analysis and report on key CAFM data
  • Ensure relevant, contract‑specific system documentation is created and maintained
  • Create and update necessary PPM paperwork for audit and compliance requirements
  • Maintain Master tables, generate PPM schedules, publishing reports to users
  • Support CAFM Manager with maintaining Asset and PPM data
  • Undertake CAFM Super‑user role to support the installation of PDA software and PDA management
  • Provide cover where required to the site Admin team to liaise with subcontractors to arrange site attendance for PPM & Reactive works and obtain appropriate paperwork following completion. Raise and manage Purchase Orders
  • Provide departmental cover when required
  • Collaborate and co‑operate with work colleagues, representatives, and users of the facilities to deliver a customer focussed service. Leading the development and achievement of the goals and aims set for the services

  • Robust experience and knowledge of the FM environment, PFI Services, ideally with demonstrable track record in healthcare
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build successful relationships, internally and externally
  • A strong level of personal drive to deliver sustainable changes in a potentially change‑resistant environment

This role includes a DBS Basic check, therefore the ability to pass is essential.
