What You Will Be Doing
- Establish and develop successful student groups.
- Recruit, train and support society committee members.
- Support the planning and events and activities.
- Navigate funding, budgeting and administrative processes.
- Deliver safe, inclusive and high-quality experiences for members.
- Take part in major Union events including Freshers Fair, Refreshers Fair and Society Awards. You will also manage membership records and reporting, maintain accurate documentation, support society finances, and contribute to major cultural celebrations and Union-wide events throughout the year.
We are looking for someone who
- Loves working with people and building strong relationships.
- Has experience supporting volunteers, stakeholders, customers or members.
- Has excellent organisational and administrative skills with strong attention to detail.
- Can confidently manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.
- Is passionate about equality, diversity and inclusion and committed to removing barriers to participation.
- Has experience coordinating activities, events or projects.
- Is proactive, adaptable and committed to delivering an excellent student experience.
Experience within a Students’ Union, involvement in extracurricular activities or understanding how student societies operate would be an advantage.

Role Details
Hours: 20 hours per week (part-time), ideally over 4 days during the core hours of 9:30pm – 4:30pm, we can discuss your preference in working hours at interview.
Reports to: Student Activities Manager

- Generous holiday allowance – 25 days a year plus bank holidays (This will be pro rata’d for part-time employees). Additional days are usually given at Easter and Christmas in line with the University closure dates (usually about 5 additional days a year).
