Job Summary
We Are With You is seeking a Housing Support Worker to work in the north and east area of Cornwall, based in Liskeard. The role is part of the Housing Support Grant (HSG) project, supporting clients with drug and alcohol issues who are at risk of losing their tenancy. The starting salary is £28,000 per annum.

Job Responsibilities
As a Housing Support Worker you will:
- Work collaboratively with community teams and external agencies to support clients in preventing homelessness.
- Provide support to clients in temporary, supported, emergency or private rented accommodation, helping them remain accommodated.
- Engage with clients to understand the challenges they face and coordinate care planning and housing arrangements.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of client interactions, progress and service outputs.
- Travel within Cornwall to visit client residences and attend meetings, requiring a full UK Driving Licence and own transport.
- Work flexible and unsocial hours as required, including occasional Saturdays.
Essential Skills
- Evidence of continuous professional development – OCN/NVQ level 3 or equivalent, or a willingness to achieve this within 12 months.
- Demonstrable experience working in outreach, housing/homelessness, health, social care, criminal justice, domestic abuse or another specialist setting.
- Successful track‑record of working with substance misuse clients.
- Knowledge and understanding of homelessness, assessment, care planning and key working, as well as health and safety and high‑risk situations for service users.
- Resilience and the ability to prioritise and work under pressure.
- Ability to build effective relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively as a team player.
- Full UK Driving Licence and own transport.
- Ability to work flexible and unsocial hours as required.
