Young Person Support Worker

Overview

4M Recruitment is recruiting for a Housing Management Support Worker to work for a charitable organisation that provides practical help and personalised support through education, housing, justice and health and wellbeing services.

Key Details

• 40 hours per week
• Shift pattern on a 5‑week rolling rota: two weekends per month and two late finishes per month; shifts are 08:00‑16:00, 08:00‑18:00, 11:00‑18:00 and 15:00‑23:00.
• Home working between property and office visits.
• £18.50 per hour via Umbrella Company.

Responsibilities

• Support 10 service users mainly young people aged 16+ who are based in charity properties in the Grantham area.
• Deliver person‑centred support and safety plans.
• Align support plans with other services and agencies.
• Document service users’ progress.
• Monitor and report safeguarding issues.
• Ensure welfare and benefits are claimed to minimise arrears.
• Minimise void times to ensure properties are re‑let.
• Oversee property management, ensuring health and safety compliance and maintenance.

Qualifications

• Previous support work or housing experience in a similar sector.
• Passion for supporting and helping people from vulnerable backgrounds such as mental health, substance misuse, homelessness, etc.
• Must be able to undertake an Enhanced DBS Adults and Children check.
