Veolia HGV Class 2 Driver – Hiring Event
Salary: £33,228 per annum, plus Veolia benefits
Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday – Friday 06:00 – 14:30
Location: Veolia Brent Municipal, 4-7 Marsh Road, HA0 1ES
Date of event: Thursday 12th February 2026 – 8:00am until 12:00pm noon

What you’ll be doing:
- Driving to planned collection locations and loading refuse into the truck
- Helping out loading and unloading vehicles when required
- Completing daily checks of the vehicle as per our driver operator handbook
- Using onboard technology to complete work notes
- Complying with all traffic laws and legislation, including security and weight of loads
- Ensuring that the carriageway is left in a clean condition and any spillages are cleaned up
What we’re looking for:
Essential:
- Class 2 licence
- An up‑to‑date CPC / DIGI card
- A can‑do attitude and good time‑management skills
- Being a team player is key to ensuring our collections run smoothly
Desirable:
- 1+ years of Class 2 driving experience
- Prior experience in the waste industry
Hiring event details:
On the day you may be asked to complete a driving assessment as part of the interview process, so please ensure you are prepared for this.
Please note, if you have more than 3 points against your licence you will not be suitable for this position. We also require candidates to bring all relevant documents with them to the hiring day, including Right to Work documentation and all driving documents.
