Mechanical Maintenance Technician – Hinckley & Lutterworth
We’re looking for a hands‑on Mechanical Maintenance Technician covering the Hinckley and Lutterworth area to support the smooth operation of our critical wastewater treatment assets. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the daily upkeep, maintenance, and repair of heavy mechanical equipment, ensuring reliability and efficiency across site operations, while playing a vital part in pollution prevention and protecting the quality of water within our systems.
You’ll work on a variety of plant machinery, including pumps, motors, and gearboxes, as well as specialist systems such as screw conveyors used to lift and transport water. A key part of your role will be maintaining essential infrastructure like scraper bridges within treatment tanks, helping to keep processes running safely, efficiently, and in line with environmental standards. This is a practical, engaging role – perfect for someone who enjoys problem‑solving, takes pride in maintaining equipment to a high standard, and is motivated by making a real impact on environmental performance and clean water outcomes.
You’ll be based in the Hinckley and Lutterworth patch, where you will be provided with a vehicle and tools so you can fulfil your role. Having a driving licence is essential.
Work schedule: 37 hours a week. You will also take part in a standby rota every 1 in 5 weeks (you will receive an additional allowance for this!).

They should be proactive about their own development and show a proactive approach to learning and continuously building their skills.
Skills, experience, character, positivity, and a caring attitude are all important. We welcome and celebrate diverse individuals, knowing they help us better serve our communities.
