Job Overview
Based at our Coffin Factory in Nottinghamshire, we are looking for Factory Operatives to join our welcoming, dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn new skills and develop within a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Carry out production processes to manufacture a range of coffins to a high standard
- Work towards daily targets while maintaining excellent quality and attention to detail
- Follow all standard operating procedures and health & safety regulations at all times
- Develop knowledge of our products and processes through hands‑on experience
- Become multi‑skilled, with the opportunity to train across all areas of the factory
- Support colleagues and step in where needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork
- Assist with the delivery of coffin orders, providing an efficient and professional service to customers and business outlets
- Ensure all delivery‑related tasks and paperwork are completed accurately and to the highest standards
- Be prepared to support factory operations when not undertaking delivery duties
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Promote a positive, cooperative culture and support relationships with colleagues and third parties
- Assist in representing and promoting our Coffin Factory within the local community
Qualifications
- A full and valid UK standard car driving licence (up to 3.5 tonne)
- Previous experience in a factory or production environment (desirable but not essential)
- Experience working with timber or similar materials (advantageous but full training will be provided)
- A flexible approach to working hours
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- A positive attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A customer‑focused mindset, with pride in delivering quality work
