About The Role
Help us to extend our reach by building and strengthening community links and raising awareness of the services we have available within Coventry. You will take part in events, talk to groups to raise awareness of dementia, identify people affected by dementia who can share their stories with their wider community and with us, and signpost people to access our services.
This community‑based role will involve supporting work across Coventry. Applicants must live within the area, as activity will primarily focus on Coventry and surrounding neighbourhoods such as St. Michaels & Hillfields (CV1), Radford (CV6), Lower Stoke (CV2) and Foseshill (CV5). Applicants from different ethnic groups are welcomed and connections within local communities are helpful.
You’ll be great for the role if:
- You have a confident and friendly approach and are committed to including people from all backgrounds, treating them with dignity and as individuals.
- You have a good knowledge and understanding of your local community.
- You have excellent communication skills and are able to talk to a variety of audiences. The ability to communicate in languages other than English is not essential but may be helpful.
- You are over the age of 18.
