About The Role

We will be responsible for handling emergency calls from elderly and vulnerable people on our Telecare Service and handling emergency out of hours telephone calls on behalf of the City Council, dealing with housing repairs, highways issues and many other vital City Council services.

It’s an incredibly fast paced but exceptionally rewarding role that requires quick but effective decision making. You’ll be compassionate, empathetic and have exceptional communication skills while being able to cope with competing demands, sometimes in stressful conditions. You’ll need to be able to work independently and on your own initiative whilst operating as a committed member of the team.

Additional Information

Salary: £32,061 – £36,362 (pro-rata) plus 6% shift allowance.

Shift Pattern

28.25 hours per week working

23:30 – 07:30 on a 3 on, 3 off shift pattern (including weekends and Bank Holidays).

Posts are subject to DBS check.

Successful candidates will also be expected to attend a monthly team meeting held on a Wednesday 1500 – 1600hrs.
