Denbighshire County Council is seeking a Wellbeing and Resilience Coach to join the Working Denbighshire team, based in Rhyl (LL18 3AH). This is a temporary role paying £16.90–£21.94 per hour, starting 13 July 2026.
Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred, strengths-based support to participants who face complex barriers to employment.
- Deliver one-to-one and group sessions focused on improving mental and emotional wellbeing, building confidence, motivation, self-esteem, and resilience, helping people engage with employability and training support.
- Develop and deliver wellbeing activities and informal training, using coaching techniques to help participants create coping strategies.
- Signpost participants to relevant services and maintain accurate records in line with UK and Welsh Government monitoring requirements.
- Work closely with Employment and Skills Mentors and the Training Coordinator, and contribute to the wider Working Denbighshire team’s goals.
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required. Travel across Denbighshire is expected.
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualification (or willingness to work towards one) in coaching, life skills, or wellbeing.
- Experience of community work with people with complex needs.
- Skills in delivering one-to-one and group support.
- Strong IT and record-keeping skills.
- A counselling qualification is desirable.
- Ability to converse in Welsh is desirable at level 1.
