We have a fantastic opportunity for a Courier Driver to join our team based in Crewe on a bank (0 hour) contract. The main purpose of this role is to contribute to the safe and timely movement and transportation of goods and equipment.
The role requires excellent communication skills with customers, colleagues and other stakeholders, and involves using electronic and paper-based forms to record tasks and items delivered and collected, ensuring all courier tasks are carried out correctly and on schedule. Heavy lifting and manual handling of equipment and goods, including using a tail lift, loading/unloading, and moving roll cages, may be required.
Vehicles driven range from small Vans up to 3.5 tonne Luton vans, driven with a Category B UK manual driving licence.

Duties
- Carry out courier journeys to various locations on agreed routes and timings.
- Complete digital and manual documentation required by both legislation and organisational procedures.
- Maintain regular contact with the operations office using a range of communication systems.
- Ensure all items are always kept safe and secure.
- Always comply with the Road Traffic Act while driving and other relevant legislation connected to the vehicle.
- Act as customer contact at delivery points of service, and relay relevant information to the operations office.
- Complete vehicle checks prior to use, and notify any defects to the Operations Office verbally and by recording on appropriate documentation.
- Always act in a polite and courteous manner to customers and road users.

You must hold a Full UK Manual Driving Licence for a minimum of 12 months and have no more than 6 penalty points.
