Job Overview

Medicine Packing Logistics Assistant – 4 permanent posts (2 Full Time, 2 Part Time). The role will be based at HQ in Wakefield and involve collecting and delivering prepacked Prescription Only Medicine (POM) pouches to ambulance stations across West and North Yorkshire, checking medicines, restocking to set levels and recording information in the Medicine Management online system.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and deliver medicine pouches to stations from the main base at HQ.
  • Verify contents of medicine pouches and restock to set levels.
  • Record essential information in the Medicine Management online system.
  • Pack medicines into pouches in a safe and effective manner.
  • Deliver other items under the management of the Hub & Spoke Transformation Team.
  • Comply with all relevant SOPs, controls and standards, both national and Trust specific.
  • Work with minimum supervision across a large geographical area, using initiative to solve problems that arise during duties.

Qualifications

  • Numerate and literate with good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Computer literate – proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Internet Explorer and standard systems.
  • Good knowledge of the Yorkshire road network, as the role involves significant driving.
