FLT Driver
Sheffield | £12.91 per hour | Monday to Friday | Weekly Pay | Ongoing Work
We are currently recruiting for an experienced FLT Driver to join the team at Biffa Hazardous Waste in Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and safety-conscious individual seeking full-time, ongoing work within a busy waste management operation.
Working as part of a supportive team, you will be responsible for the safe movement of materials around site, helping to ensure operations run smoothly, efficiently and in line with strict health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
- Load and unload vehicles
- Move waste containers and materials around the site
- Carry out daily FLT checks and report any defects
- Assist with general yard and warehouse duties when required
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment
- Adhere to all company Health & Safety policies and procedures
What We’re Looking For
- Valid, in-date Counterbalance FLT licence
- Previous FLT driving experience is essential
- Experience within waste, recycling, manufacturing, industrial or warehouse environments would be advantageous
- Strong awareness of health and safety procedures
- Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Positive attitude with a willingness to support wider site operations when required
