Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant – Maidenhead
An amazing school in Maidenhead is looking for a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to join them in fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment for their students. The role is to start as soon as possible.
The role is focused on supporting students to manage and process their emotions in healthy ways and ensuring they have access to healthy coping strategies to use at school and at home.
As a dedicated Behaviour Teaching Assistant, your work will involve focusing and delivering tailored interventions for the students who need it most. You will also play a vital role in supporting students with challenging behaviour in the classroom, ensuring they are equipped with the right tools to lay foundations for good mental health.
Your responsibilities as a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant:
- Foster trusting and supportive relationships with students, promoting their well-being and resilience
- Assist with classroom activities, ensuring students are engaged and participating
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents
- Help model healthy coping strategies and social skills
- Maintain a safe and positive learning environment
- Work closely with students to implement individualized support for students with autism
- Implement individualized therapeutic strategies
- Support students in developing social communication skills
