Scale 1 – £24,796 per annum (pro rata) Actual salary – £14,743.57.

Position

Housekeeper/Catering Assistant – part‑time, 22 hours per week, all year round.

Overview

South Wolds Academy & Sixth Form in Keyworth is a high attaining, semi‑rural popular school located in the village of Keyworth in Nottinghamshire which is only 6 miles from West Bridgford. We are a founding partner of the East Midlands Education Trust, committed to providing a first class education for all of our students.

Hours of work

  • Term time: Monday to Thursday 12:15pm to 4:45pm, Friday 12:15pm to 4:00pm.
  • School holidays: Monday to Thursday 8:00am to 12:30pm, Friday 8:00am to 12:00pm.

Responsibilities

  • Work with both the general housekeeping and catering teams.
  • Perform cleaning, hygiene and cleanliness tasks in a school environment.
  • Laying out and putting away furniture and other items as required.
  • Assist with catering duties as needed.
  • Help the team when unexpected situations arise.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous experience in a school environment is not essential, but a commitment to high standards of hygiene and cleanliness is.
  • Previous experience in catering, housekeeping or general cleaning would be an advantage.
  • Demonstrable commitment to working in a safe manner and a willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
  • Physically able to meet walking and lifting requirements.
  • Good communicator, friendly and approachable, and willing to assist the team.

Training & Support

We will train you in the specific aspects of the job. You just need to bring a willingness to learn, a good sense of humour and a friendly and approachable manner.
