The Role

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with experienced teachers across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 to support pupils academically, socially, and emotionally.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting teaching and learning within the classroom
  • Delivering targeted English and Maths interventions
  • Providing one-to-one support to pupils requiring additional assistance
  • Supporting phonics, reading, writing, and numeracy programmes
  • Assisting with lesson preparation and classroom resources
  • Helping pupils to remain engaged and focused during lessons
  • Supporting children’s social and emotional development
  • Working alongside teachers to raise attainment and pupil confidence
  • Gaining exposure to assessment, behaviour management, and classroom practice

This position is specifically designed to provide aspiring teachers with the practical classroom experience needed to make competitive teacher training applications.
