The Role
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with experienced teachers across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 to support pupils academically, socially, and emotionally.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting teaching and learning within the classroom
- Delivering targeted English and Maths interventions
- Providing one-to-one support to pupils requiring additional assistance
- Supporting phonics, reading, writing, and numeracy programmes
- Assisting with lesson preparation and classroom resources
- Helping pupils to remain engaged and focused during lessons
- Supporting children’s social and emotional development
- Working alongside teachers to raise attainment and pupil confidence
- Gaining exposure to assessment, behaviour management, and classroom practice
This position is specifically designed to provide aspiring teachers with the practical classroom experience needed to make competitive teacher training applications.
