as a Glass Operative, where you’ll play a key role in producing high-quality glass products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Tasks

• Operate glass cutting and processing machinery safely and efficiently.
• Cut and shape glass and mirrors to precise specifications using measuringand cutting tools.
• Read patterns, drawings, and technical specifications to ensure accurateproduction.
• Inspect glass for defects and maximise material usage.
• Operate toughening furnaces and monitor production processes, makingadjustments where required.
• Maintain stock records, including glass batches and off-cuts.
• Ensure all work meets quality standards and customer requirements.
• Follow Health & Safety procedures and company policies at all times.
• Contribute to a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
• Undertake other duties appropriate to the role as required.

Requirements

• Previous experience working within the glass manufacturing or processing
• Strong understanding of glass production techniques and processes.
• Ability to read and follow instructions, solve problems, and work accurately
• under pressure.
• A “right first time” approach with a strong focus on quality, productivity, and
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
• Experience carrying out quality checks to ensure products meet required
• standards.
• Strong commitment to Health & Safety, particularly when handling glass
• materials.

Desirable

• Experience operating CNC machinery.
