An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Functional Skills English Tutor to join a brand-new Alternative Provision opening in Towcester this October. You’ll inspire young people to develop their literacy, communication and confidence through engaging Functional Skills English lessons tailored to individual learning needs.

Working within small classes, you’ll have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships and help students achieve qualifications that open doors to further education and employment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Functional Skills English lessons.
• Support literacy development.
• Assess progress and provide feedback.
• Encourage confidence and independence.
• Work collaboratively with the wider staff team.

Requirements

• Experience teaching English or Functional Skills.
• Teaching qualification desirable but not essential for experienced tutors.
• Passion for supporting young people.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
