Senior Residential Childcare Worker – Children’s Residential Home

Wakefield, WF5

£31,068 – £32,639 plus sleep ins

2 Bed Emotional Behavioural Difficulties – Mixed Gender

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading and supporting a team of Residential Support Workers to deliver high-quality care
  • Building positive relationships with children, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and development
  • Contributing to the development of the home’s culture, routines, and environment from day one
  • Assisting with the planning and implementation of personalised care plans
  • Promoting a team approach and maintaining a calm, nurturing atmosphere

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience working in children’s residential care or similar settings
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable children
  • Ability to work flexibly and respond to the needs of children and the team
  • A proactive, caring attitude with a focus on positive outcomes

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in social care or childcare (e.g. Level 3 or equivalent)
  • Valid driver’s licence (preferred but not essential)
  • Experience in a supervisory or senior role within children’s services
