The Humber Centre for Forensic Psychiatry is a medium secure hospital detaining mentally disordered offenders. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, flexible and reliable Security Assistant to work at the Humber Centre and Pine View. This is not a routine position.
Responsibilities
- Provide cover at the Humber Centre and Pine View
- Front‑of‑house, patient‑facing duties to ensure smooth running of both areas
- Work in a busy control‑room/reception dealing with staff, patients and visitors
- Issue and maintain security equipment and use a variety of security systems
- Control access to the building and escort visitors/contractors within the service
- Work 24 hours a day, 365 days a year on a shift pattern that includes day, night, weekends and bank holidays
Requirements
- Friendly, alert and self‑motivated
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
