Fundraising Clerical Assistant

University Hospitals Dorset is seeking a self‑motivated, friendly, and approachable Fundraising Clerical Assistant to join the Charity Team within the Finance and Business Intelligence Directorate.

Cross‑site working will be required at Bournemouth Hospital and Poole Hospital.

Interview is scheduled for July 17.

Main Duties

  • Demonstrate strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Possess good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Be computer literate with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Pro‑actively develop knowledge and contribute to charitable initiatives.
  • Work effectively both within a team and on an unsupervised basis.
  • Manage multitasking in a busy environment with excellent attention to detail.

Person Specification

  • Minimum 2 years of administrative experience.
  • Experience using databases.
  • Computer literate – knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Works well under pressure and good time management.
  • Experience working within a hospital charity or NHS.
  • Knowledge of charity legislation and the Fundraising Regulator Code of Practice.
  • Ability to motivate, encourage and negotiate with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to be a self‑motivated, friendly, and approachable team member.
