About the role
Queen Elizabeth’s School is recruiting for a Careers Manager on a permanent basis. Salary £32,061 – £36,363 per annum. Full‑time, 37 hours per week plus two school holidays. Approximate start date 1 September 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and coordinate exceptional careers guidance across the school.
- Co‑ordinate all careers advice to meet and exceed the Gatsby Benchmarks.
- Coordinate work‑experience placements for students in Years 9–11 and the Sixth Form.
- Increase student employability and reduce the number of students who are NEET.
- Attend relevant school events and other duties as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Motivated to support the raising of student aspirations.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Resourceful, initiative‑driven and able to prioritise and manage time effectively.
- Previous experience working with young people, providing careers IAG and work‑experience support.
- Experience planning, promoting and delivering events.
- Experience in administration and data management, including use of the Arbor MIS data system.
- Desirable to hold a relevant qualification in Careers Guidance & Development; candidates working toward this qualification are also welcome.
Working Conditions
Monday to Friday, 8.00 am to 4.00 pm, subject to change with business needs.
