Primary SEN Teacher – September 2026

We are a SEN school in the Borough of Kensington & Chelsea looking for a full‑time Primary SEN Teacher to start September 2026.

Key Information

• SEN school serving students aged 4‑18
• Focus on supporting children with ASD and complex needs
• Teaching small classes with a high adult‑to‑child ratio (one teacher and one assistant for ten students)
• Individualised curriculum tailored to each child’s learning goals
• Collaborating with a range of professionals (speech and language therapist, occupational therapist, etc.)
• Working closely with parents and colleagues
• Providing learning through play and supporting middle‑ability groups (aged 7‑11) at EYFS/KS1 level

Job Description

• Primary SEN Teacher responsible for teaching SEN children in small groups
• Set up and manage provision for SEN children
• Focus on improving the quality of learning and provision for SEN pupils at the school
• Start date: September 2026
• Full‑time, permanent contract
• Salary: MPS1‑UPS3 + SEN Point 1 or 2 in the Kensington & Chelsea, Outer London pay scale

Person Specification

• UK QTS
• Strong understanding of the curriculum
• Passion for education and ability to inspire young minds
• Understanding of the teaching standards
• Good or outstanding lesson observation record
