Who we need
We are seeking a candidate with experience of supporting young people with mental health and wellbeing needs. The role will focus on working with a large caseload of vulnerable learners, providing individual support and liaising with external agencies and social care to ensure effective multi‑agency collaboration. A key part of the role will involve supporting safeguarding processes to ensure that students are safe and protected.
Ideally, candidates will have experience of advocating for students’ needs, coordinating joined‑up support, and helping learners to engage, progress, and thrive during their time at college.
We are recruiting roles at our High Pavement and Basford campuses; however, the successful applicant must be flexible to work across all campuses to support the centralised wellbeing team.
Term‑time only: 40 weeks per year, with 4 weeks worked outside of term time. Summer break runs from the 3rd week of July to the 2nd week of August.
Salary is pro‑rated from the full‑time equivalent.
What you’ll bring
You will possess experience of supporting young people to ensure their safety and wellbeing on a range of pastoral and learning related topics. Essential skills and experiences required are:
- Strong organisational skills
- Confident in using technology
- Able to keep accurate and detailed records
- Manage administrative tasks efficiently
- Good time management, clear communication, and a proactive approach to working with both students and professionals are also key to success in this role
