A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Coventry is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate who is considering a future in teaching, educational psychology, speech and language therapy, or another child-focused profession.

Working alongside experienced teachers and support staff, you will help pupils achieve their full potential both academically and socially while gaining invaluable school-based experience.

What’s the role?

  • Support pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2.
  • Work alongside class teachers to deliver engaging and inclusive learning experiences.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to help pupils reach their full potential.
  • Assist with literacy, numeracy and intervention.
  • Support pupils’ social, emotional and academic development.
  • Help create a positive and nurturing learning environment.

What are we looking for?

  • Holds a 2:1 or higher degree in Psychology, Education Studies, English, Maths or a related subject.
  • Has a genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Is patient, enthusiastic and adaptable.
  • Is considering a future career in teaching or a child-focused profession.
  • Experience in working with children desirable.
