Position Overview
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our education team at Gulliver’s Activity Centre. This role supports children and young people who require alternative educational provision. Working alongside teaching and pastoral staff, the HLTA helps pupils engage in learning, achieve positive outcomes, and develop confidence both inside and outside the classroom. The role may involve working across our Rotherham and Doncaster sites, requiring flexibility to adapt to different educational settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of high-quality educational activities.
- Work with individuals and small groups of pupils.
- Assist teaching staff in creating an engaging and supportive learning environment.
- Help manage classroom activities.
- Contribute to planning and assessment processes.
- Support pupils with varying educational, emotional, and behavioural needs.
Requirements
Applicants must be willing to undergo appropriate child protection screening, including employment references and an Enhanced DBS check. A child-centred approach and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils are essential.

Monday: 8:30am – 5:00pmTuesday to Friday: 8:30am – 4:30pmTotal weekly hours: 39.5
