Bruntcliffe Academy is seeking to appoint a dedicated Cover Supervisor. Our team of cover professionals support the smooth running of the academy by covering lessons for planned and unplanned teacher absences. Our Cover Supervisors teach across KeyStage 3 and Key Stage 4 using supplied resources to ensure consistency in the quality of education we provide to our pupils.
We are looking for a professional with experience in working with young people, ideally in teaching or lesson cover. The ideal applicant will have the ability to work with pupils across a range of ages and in a variety of subject areas. The successful candidate will have the ability be flexible and resilient, holding high expectations whilst building positive relationships with our pupils.
Potential applicants should have:
- Grade 4 (C) and above in GCSE English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
- Experience of working with young people and a genuine passion for education.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A calm, flexible and proactive approach, with the ability to adapt to different classroom situations and student needs.
