Nursery Teacher (EYFS) – Full Time, Temporary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Teacher to join a highly regarded primary setting in Barnet from January 2025. This is a full‑time, temporary role running until July, teaching a Nursery class of 28 children.
The Opportunity
You will be supported by a highly experienced and proactive Nursery Nurse, making this an excellent opportunity for a teacher who may be new to Nursery but is confident in taking on full class teacher responsibilities.

This is a well‑established, oversubscribed primary school with a strong Early Years provision and a reputation for nurturing children academically, emotionally, and socially. The school offers a welcoming and inclusive environment, where teamwork, professional development, and pupil wellbeing are highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and well‑differentiated EYFS lessons
- Assess, monitor and support pupil progress in line with the EYFS framework
- Create a warm, inclusive and stimulating learning environment
- Work collaboratively with support staff, colleagues and parents
- Take responsibility for all aspects of the class, including planning, assessment and reporting
- Contribute positively to the wider life of the school
About You / Qualifications
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have EYFS experience or a strong interest in Early Years teaching
- Be confident, organised and enthusiastic
- Demonstrate strong classroom management and communication skills
- Be committed to supporting children’s academic and emotional development
