SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time Permanent

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and the SEND team to provide tailored support for pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs. You’ll play a key role in helping pupils access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential within a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with additional needs.
- Assist with the delivery of personalised learning programmes.
- Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, the SENDCo, and external professionals.
- Help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable.
- A patient, caring, and resilient approach.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to contribute to the wider school community.
