Salary: GBP16.40 – GBP21.86 per hour
Our client, a major blue chip business based in the LE3 area of Leicester, is looking for Class 1 Drivers to join their team on an immediate basis. We have Monday to Friday shifts (AM and PM), as well as weekend shifts. Routes are usual trunk runs with no handball. Pay rates are £16.40 per hour between 06.00‑20.00 hrs, £20.32 per hour between 20.00‑06.00 hrs, and £21.36 per hour for weekends. You will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting full loads from the distribution depot to various national locations and returning to the depot.
Some paperwork may be required but is minimal. All candidates must pass a driver assessment and complete 3 induction days prior to running solo.
Flexibility on start times and differing locations is required from all drivers.
Various shift times are available to suit.
Job Description
- A full UK driving licence with category CE entitlement
- Minimum experience required is 1 year
- No more than 6 current penalty points
- No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC, IN10 or TT99 endorsements with a conviction date within the previous 5 years
Driver Responsibilities
- Check the vehicle regularly and report any issues
- Drive safely and follow all traffic laws
- Deliver goods on time, in full and to the correct address
- Communicate politely with customers
- Keep records of deliveries, mileage, and issues
- Report delays, accidents, or problems to the site manager
