Position

Two Graduate Apprentice Developers (AI & Data Science). Fully funded degree: tuition paid and salary.

Hours

36 hours per week (2 positions).

  • Monday: 9:30am – 5:00pm
  • Tue–Thu: 9:00am – 5:00pm
  • Friday: 9:00am – 4:00pm

This post is offered on a fixed term basis for 48 months.

What You Will Do

Over a four‑year programme we will train you in:

  • Data creation and advanced statistical analysis.
  • Modern developer software and geographical packages.
  • NHS data standards and information management.
  • Building robust, intuitive digital products for senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

This role is designed for someone at the start of their journey. Entry requirements for Glasgow Caledonian University:

  • From School: SQA Highers at BBCC (including Maths or Computing), plus Nat 5 English (C).
  • Foundation Apprenticeship: accepted (counts as “B” at Higher level).
  • Experienced applicants: prior work experience or an HNC/HND via Recognition of Prior Learning.

Other attributes:

  • A genuine curiosity about AI, data, and how things work.
  • Ability to explain ideas clearly to non‑tech colleagues.
  • A motivated, “can‑do” attitude.
