The Role
- Lead all aspects of site, premises and facilities management across a busy secondary school
- Line‑manage a small premises team and coordinate external contractors
- Ensure statutory compliance across health & safety, fire safety and building regulations
- Manage preventative and reactive maintenance programmes
- Oversee security, CCTV, access control, keys and emergency call‑out procedures
- Support capital projects and long‑term estate improvement plans
- Ensure the site is safe, secure and ready to support teaching everyday
- Work 37 hours per week across rotating shifts between 7:00am and 8:00pm with an on‑call rota
The Person
- Experience as a Premises Manager, Site Manager, Facilities Manager, Estates Officer, Caretaker Manager or similar
- Strong practical maintenance and building management experience
- Previous experience managing contractors and health & safety compliance
- Full UK Driving Licence
- IOSH or NEBOSH qualification (or willingness to work towards)
- Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills
- Experience within education is advantageous but not essential
