Teaching Assistant

Role Overview

Our Teaching Assistants help children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. They support learning, develop abilities and raise self‑esteem while working closely with teachers and therapists.

Responsibilities

• Work with pupils aged 5‑19 with Autistic Spectrum Disorder to facilitate learning and development.
• Support teachers and therapists in delivering individualised instruction and therapeutic interventions.
• Assist pupils in developing confidence through small, measurable victories.
• Provide care and support during classroom activities and extra‑curricular sessions.

Qualifications

• Resilience, dedication and a genuine passion for supporting children.
• Experience working in a classroom or with children with special educational needs preferred.
• Willingness to undertake full induction, on‑the‑job training and any additional training required.
