About the Role

Our client, a thriving educational institution in Todmorden, West Yorkshire, is seeking a dedicated full‑time PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities) Teaching Assistant to join their exceptional team. Responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small group support, adapting teaching methods and resources to meet the unique needs of each student.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists and other professionals to develop and implement effective learning strategies.
• Assist with personal care tasks such as feeding, toileting and mobility with dignity and respect.
• Facilitate sensory activities, art, music and other therapeutic interventions to stimulate and engage students.
• Participate actively in planning and evaluation of each student’s individual education plan.
• Maintain detailed records and documentation to track student progress and communicate with parents and carers.

Qualifications

• Passionate about working with students with profound and multiple learning disabilities.
• Strong communication skills, patience and creative thinking.
• Experience as a PMLD Teaching Assistant or background in special educational needs preferred but not required.
